Magnetic reed switch actuator, North and South Pole, Metal Housing
This Magnetic reed switch actuator features a robust metal housing, with the North and South poles which are colour marked for ease of use. Suitable for mounting on ferrous material and this actuator can be used as a N or S magnet.
Reed switches are an electrical switch, actuated, turned on and off or change-over, by magnetism. These switches are not physically touched during actuation, instead, they rely on magnetic forces applied by an actuator magnet to move their contacts together or apart. This leads to an extended service life and makes them impervious to contaminates which may render mechanical switches inoperable.
